This year’s Indigenous Women in Leadership (IWIL) event on Thursday, June 17, recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of our 2021 award recipient Chief Tammy Cook-Searson, an Indigenous woman who leads by example and empowers others to succeed.

We also shine the spotlight on the achievements of our past IWIL award laureates, Nicole Bourque-Bouchier, Roberta Jamieson, Jody Wilson-Raybould, and Deborah Saucier. These women not only inspire the next generation of leaders and role models, but they lend their voice to others to remain resilient and tenacious. Giving strength to other women, these trailblazers, especially during this time of uncertainty and instability, encourage us to move forward and to adapt to circumstances.
