Adam Good is a proud Anishinaabe of Beausoleil First Nation and has worked for Shawanaga First Nation for 10 years. As Shawanaga’s Band Administrator, he manages 10 departments with more than 75 staff, handling all community affairs for a membership of 750. Adam manages numerous projects including the assertion of a Leagues vs. Miles specific land claim, multi-million-dollar settlement of an 85-year-old land dispute, and breaking ground on a multi-million-dollar highway service center on reserve.

Adam has turned around Shawanaga’s finances from a dangerous deficit to be a member of the First Nation Financial Board and a certified borrowing member of the First Nation Financial Authority. Adam pushed the envelope to reopen the acceptance of First Nations into the Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management and nurtured the ratification of Shawanaga’s own Land Code. Adam was instrumental in winning Shawanaga the first of eight cannabis retail licenses in Ontario.
