Jacquie leads the inclusive trade research portfolio within Global Affairs Canada’s Office of the Chief Economist, which aims to better understand the experiences of Canada’s underrepresented exporters including Indigenous peoples, women, and visible minorities. She is an insightful economist with 15 years of experience in government and think tank sectors, and has a keen interest in ensuring that analytical work has direct policy and program impacts on the ground. Prior to joining the public service in 2017, she worked for more than a decade as a professional economist at the Conference Board of Canada where she spent many years forecasting a variety of sectors of Canadian and international economies. She also spent 5 years training Ukrainian public servants in forecasting as part of a technical assistance project funded by the Government of Canada. Ms. Palladini holds an M.A. in economics from McGill University.
