Rebecca is a Cree-Metis woman with a passion for Indigenous Relations and changing the socio-economic landscape for Indigenous Peoples in Canada. She was born and raised in Fort McMurray and is a proud member of McMurray Metis 1935.

She is a Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician, with more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. Her work experience includes industrial construction and maintenance, government administration, and currently she provides executive level support as well as companywide education, engagement, and advocacy to support Indigenous equity within the construction industry.
Rebecca serves on the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF) Board of Directors, The CAF JEDI committee and the CAF Supporting Women in the Trades (SWiT) task force member, she is a member of the Women Building Futures (WBF) Board of Directors and HRC Committee. She is fully committed to improving the representation of marginalized people in skilled trades across Canada.

Channeling her firsthand experience and knowledge of the barriers women, Indigenous people, and other underrepresented groups face in industry, Rebecca collaborates with industry partners, communities and organizations to promote opportunities these groups who are looking to pursue careers in the construction industry.
