Patrick Ilagan joined ESS North America as the Manager, Indigenous & Community Relations in February 2020. In his role, he is responsible for building positive relationships with community partners by focusing on Indigenous community engagement and support. Patrick also guides the company’s Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) program and chairs the company’s PAR working group.

Prior to joining ESS, he supported Indigenous and local contracting for several development and expansion projects for a major Oil & Gas producer and International engineering firm in Alberta’s Oil Sands.

Patrick has been recognized for his leadership by increasing involvement with Indigenous businesses and workforce development and his efforts to increase Indigenous awareness.
