David Abbott, an Anishnabe from Pays Plat First Nation, is the Director Indigenous Relations and Business Partnerships at Bruce Power. He oversees Bruce Power’s Indigenous Relations portfolio including managing and executing the company’s community engagement plans and partnership development.

He is a seasoned management professional, which includes over 20 years of experience in the areas of operations, product marketing, marketing communications, business development and client service. Through his CCAB recognized Aboriginal owned consulting practice, he worked with Aboriginal non-profits by providing a range of management and business based services.

He has held leadership roles at the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, CIBC Mellon, State Street Canada, RBC Dexia as well as SS&C Technologies (formerly Financial Models Company, Inc.). He has served on several community boards including the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, Native Women's Resource Centre of Toronto and is currently a member of the board with Skills Ontario.

David received his MBA from the Edinburgh School of Business, Heriot Watt University.
