Ms. Brenda LaRose, recipient of the CCAB 2019 Aboriginal Business Lifetime Achievement Award, brings over twenty-five years of experience leading executive search engagements across a broad range of industries and sectors and throughout most regions in Canada as well as internationally. With a strong knowledge of governance and business, Ms. LaRose brings expertise in working closely with Boards and executive teams to assess and identify strategies that will attract and retain the right leaders.

Before joining Leaders International, Ms. LaRose founded Higgins Executive Search and developed a national practice which is now recognized as a Canadian leader in the recruitment of diversity and Indigenous executives and Board members.

Ms. LaRose currently serves as an Executive Committee Member on The Canadian Chamber of Commerce (serving on the HR and Compensation Committee and the Task Force for Diversity and Inclusion), and also is currently a Board Member of Air North – Yukon’s Airline and is a founding and current Board Member of Infinity Investments LLP.

Ms. LaRose is a Métis citizen, born in Winnipeg and raised in Regina. She recognizes her humble beginnings and is extremely grateful for her full and accomplished career. She is a proud wife, mother, and grandmother and shepherds her family with the culture and heritage from which she comes.
