Chuck Maillet was appointed the Vice-President for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) for Nova Scotia in 2017, having been with the Agency since 2002. In addition to his role leading ACOA’s Nova Scotia office, Chuck also leads ACOA’s pan-Atlantic efforts in areas such as Indigenous Economic Development and Startup Ecosystems.

Before joining ACOA, Chuck spent a number of years working in both the private and non-profits sectors, where he gained valuable insights into the challenges of starting and growing businesses; however, his learning journey still continues. Chuck is passionate about encouraging entrepreneurship and supporting innovation and technology development in Nova Scotia.

Chuck is a native Nova Scotian and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University. He is happily married with two children.
