Eddison Lee-Johnson has dedicated his career to helping communities grow and prosper both in Canada and abroad.

A graduate of the University of Sierra Leone (B.A. Education in Community Development Studies and Agricultural Science) and the University of British Columbia (M.A. in Resource Management) Mr. Lee-Johnson was also awarded a Certificate in Business Studies from the U.K. Institute of Commercial Management and diplomas in Negotiation, and Business Knowledge and Office Practice. Eddison is currently pursuing a post-graduate Business Administration degree.

at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.

Mr. Lee-Johnson leveraged that education into growing success with communities that are determined to prosper. He led local teams as a Sector Head of APEGS and World Vision in Sierra Leone, and as a Project Development Officer for CARE International. Upon moving to Canada, and following his work and education at UBC, Lee-Johnson decided that his education and skill set were an ideal match for Indigenous communities that required professional management for complex community goals.

After 3 years with the Stellat’en First Nation, Mr. Lee-Johnson found his professional home at the Fort McKay Métis Nation (FMMN) where he has moved from environmental coordination to Executive Director to CEO. Under his watch the FMMN has undergone remarkable expansion of social and business operations, with it’s business group evolving to become of one, if not the, largest Indigenous owned business groups in Canada.
